Signs of Spring 2
Day 48
The weather has been so beautiful here for the last week. Everything is starting to bloom prematurely. My next several posts will be pictures of what I'm seeing in bloom around town. It was 71 degrees here today.
Can anyone identify the type of tree this is?

Whirligigs
Day 47
I'm taking a class on this whirligigs quilt in June. Can you see how this is put together to make the pinwheels?

Bottle Forest
Day 42
This was an interesting looking place outside of Helendale, Ca.
Those are old glass bottles on those posts and also a lot of highway signs that had been ripped off from somewhere.

My First Not-From-A-Box Cake
Day 40
I came home from work tonight and made this cake from scratch. It was in the American Profile magazine that comes in my newspaper. Chocolate cake with Peanut Butter Cream Cheese frosting. Yum Me.

Bokeh
Day 39
I've been following Pioneer Woman's instruction on apeture and shutter speed. She's very good and makes it more understandable then the photo teacher I had at Ritz Camera. This is what I got when I shot this picture in apeture priority.

Megan's Quilt
Day 38
This is Megan's quilt that I gave her for Christmas. Yes, I'm trying to do a quilt for each of you girls but it may take a few years.

Cute Grandkids
Day 37
I love this picture. It was taken several years ago on Mackinaw Island. As I remember after a few bites, the ice cream landed on the ground.
Of course, I had to post two tonight because I have four beautiful grandkids. I love this picture too. It was taken in Alaska.

Beautiful Housing
Day 36
When our city decided to build some new low-income housing they built this beautiful apartment complex on the site of an old motel. The single story building that you see in the photograph was actually going to be refurbished from the old motel because of it's historical value. Unfortunatly, an arsonist burnt it to the ground just after the work began on it. They rebuilt the single story building in keeping with the original plans. I love the way these are all painted.
