Roma

Day 73

The famous Spanish Steps at 6:30 am. This was our first day in Italy and we hadn't met our tour group yet. We got up early and took a six mile walk. On our walk we saw the Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Piazza Navona, the Ponte dei St. Angelo, the Castle St. Angelo, and Saint Peter's Cathedral in the Vatican.

This is our last night in Italy at the Spanish Steps about 8:00pm. Everyone was out for their little passigiata. To see and be seen.

  1. That is so cool that you got to get there early and take a self guided tour. I am sure that is a special memory for you and dad. :)

  2. Karen, It is a very special memory for Dad and me since we were with the group most of the time.

    Sue,
We went for our tenth anniversary in 2007. It was the trip of a lifetime and I'd love to go back. Ruthanne will love it there.
